Bravado win DreamHack Invitational Mumbai
Bravado have been crowned champions of DreamHack Invitational Mumbai after defeating Signify 2-1 on Inferno (6-16), Train (16-11), and Dust2 (16-2).
The title decider of the four-team event kicked off on Inferno, the map chosen by Bravado, who booked their spot in the grand final after defeating Energy in the previous match of the tournament. Signify bagged the first two rounds to take control of proceedings as CTs, but the South African side quickly turned the score around with three convincing rounds.
Yet, Agneya "Marzil" Koushik and co. were in charge, and went on a massive run to take a 12-3 half-time lead, with the 21-year-old paving the way for his team with 20 frags. Signify, who came from the BYOC qualifier, carried that momentum into the second half, hitting match-point without much effort, and eventually closed out the map at 16-6.
Next up was Train, where Signify picked up their CT pistol with a double and a triple-kill from Marzil and Debanjan "DeathMakeR" Das, respectively. Two rounds later, Bravado got on the board with nothing but Deagles, which inspired them to follow that up with four more emphatic rounds, 5-3.

That was not enough to counter Signify, however, as they tightened up their defence from that moment, losing just one more round before securing a 9-6 lead by half-time.
In the second half, Bravado could not stop their opponents from winning the pistol round, but they still found a lifeline in the match, stringing six rounds together to go up 12-10. Even though Signify then got back on the board, the South African squad took the series to a third map with a 16-11 victory.
Dust2 began with Bravado finally denying Signify from winning a pistol round—Lukas "yb" Gröning's troops had not lost a single pistol until that moment. Playing as Terrorists, Dimitri "Detrony" Hadjipaschali's men came into the decider much livelier, eventually bagging an 8-1 lead after turning around a 3v5 and a 2v4 in the process.
It was only then that Signify managed to win their second round of the map, but were immediately reset by Bravado, who went on to make it 13-2 in their favour. Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek and co. won their second pistol of the series afterwards, and quickly wrapped things up to lift the DreamHack Invitational Mumbai trophy.
